First off, Miss California Carrie Prejean, bless her heart. I believe Carrie, coming from the liberal-minded state of California, has to be the most beautiful conservative I have ever seen! I believe we've all heard the news about how Perez Hilton attacked her, post-Miss USA pageant. Nonetheless, she is sticking up for her conservative-Christian values. Again, Bless Her Heart.
Next, Colin Powell... Yes, the former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, who just can't seem to go away (Note: I respect his military credentials) was in the news recently. According to Mr. Powell, who like President Obamessiah, just seems to know what EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN KNOWS AND FEELS (despite 46% of American's voting for John McCain last election), had this to say... "Americans do want to pay taxes for services," he said. "Americans are looking for more government in their life, not less." The funny thing is, he's partially right on the first part and completely wrong on the 2nd. To begin, most American's appreciate the services of police, fire and rescue that most American communities offer. I especially have no problem if my taxes go for this. But, I DO NOT enjoy the services of ACORN, nor do I enjoy a SINGLE CENT of my taxpaying going to them, but that seems to happen anyhow. And, to finish that, American's ARE NOT LOOKING FOR MORE GOVERNMENT. The government is like a "wolf in sheep's clothing". Lose your job, and the government will give you unemployment benefits (which, by the way, are paid for due to a tax on the businesses). The government will also give you food stamps and MediCaid (both paid for the people and by a SMALL MINORITY of the people's taxes). By doing so, the government makes some people think WE NEED AND WANT MORE GOVERNMENT, which is hardly the truth. Bless Your Hearts...
